Simulation Development is a new, rapidly growing department of highly motivated engineers, responsible for propelling and defining how Vestas simulate across our wind turbine platforms and modules. Join our Simulation Mesh team as a Sofware Developer Trainee and play a crucial role in shaping the future of wind energy simulation. As part of the Simulation Development department, you will have the opportunity to be part of developing and influencing tools, methods, and processes for the verification and simulation of turbine components. You will support and propel our short and long-term targets and shape the overall simulation strategy for our wind turbine platforms and modules. Be a part of a creative team that is committed to ensuring our simulation tools - both proprietary and commercial - work together seamlessly to secure the digital thread and system thinking across the module development teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the frontend and backend web service development
• Support the development of simulation-related DevOps technology stack

Qualifications

• MS.C. in Computer Science or equivalent

Competencies

• Programming Languages: Rust, Python
• Knowledge of Azure CI/CD
• Knowledge of backend development
• Knowledge of frontend development
• Good understanding of data and schema standards and concepts
• Good understanding of database design, implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance
• Knowledge of power Shell, batch processes

It is desirable if you have:

• A high degree of curiosity and desire to acquire new knowledge/learn new tools
• Familiarity with models and simulations
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g. Scrum)
• Project Management or business education/experience
• Experience within other large corporate organizations
• Danish language skills are welcomed but are not required. Vestas is a multicultural and global company and international applicants are very welcome
